Community groups reap the benefits of credit union’s “Concern for Community” initiative

The pandemic has impacted everyone in one way or another. Especially hard hit have been non-profit groups which serve vulnerable clients.

Wanting to offer assistance through its Concern for Community initiative to those most in need, TruMark Financial® Credit Union donated boxes of diapers to organizations that help families thrive by providing care and quality learning opportunities for children.

TruMark Financial employees delivered boxes of diapers to the following organizations to help replenish their supplies:

  • Family Service Association, Bucks County
  • Maternal and Child Health Consortium, Chester County
  • Maternity Care Coalition, Delaware County
  • Northern Children’s Home, Philadelphia
  • Wonderspring/Narberth Center, Montgomery County

“We appreciate the community support and TruMark thinking about us. The diaper pantry has been a big resource for families, so we can always use more of them,” said Matthew Lutz, Clinical Case Manager, Family Service Association.

Other examples of the way TruMark Financial gives back to the community is through its financial literacy program in which employees conduct workshops on topics such as saving, budgeting, credit, and investing at local schools and community organizations and its TruCommunity program where employees receive eight hours of paid time off to allow them to volunteer at a non-profit of their choice.
