TruMark Financial Credit Union Honored with Aetna Workplace Well-being Award

TruMark Financial Credit Union has been recognized with Aetna’s prestigious Workplace Well-being Award, a distinction that honors organizations for their exceptional commitment to improving team member health, well-being, and vitality.

The award reflects TruMark Financial’s comprehensive approach to wellness, which prioritizes mental, physical, and financial well-being through thoughtfully designed programs and resources. One of the credit union’s most successful recent initiatives was the rollout of free access to the Calm app for team members and their families—a response to rising stress and mental health challenges amid today’s rapidly evolving global landscape.

“Supporting the mental well-being of our team is not just the right thing to do; it’s a critical part of TruMark Financial’s mission and values,” said Anne Martin, VP, Employee Experience Director. “When our team members feel cared for, supported, and empowered, they’re able to thrive personally and professionally. That’s why we continue to invest in impactful tools and programs that help foster a culture of resilience, balance, and belonging.”

The Calm app initiative saw an 82.5% participation rate among TruMark Financial’s staff and yielded overwhelmingly positive team member feedback. It is one element of the credit union’s broader Well-being Strategy, which also includes:

· Mental Health Support: Expanded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits including up to eight therapy sessions and resources to support childcare, parenting, adoption, and elder care.

· Physical Wellness: Biometric screenings, fitness challenges, and incentives through the Aetna Health Your Way and recently added Wellable platform, which includes workout classes, healthy recipes, and guided meditations.

· Financial Wellness: Financial education and one-on-one coaching, tuition reimbursement, loan discount programs, and a robust retirement plan with a 5% employer match.

This holistic, data-driven approach to team member care has also led to measurable gains in team member engagement, as reflected in the credit union’s Gallup survey results. TruMark Financial remains committed to building a workplace where every team member feels valued, connected, and equipped to succeed at work and beyond.
