TruMark Financial® Credit Union’s Malvern branch recently hosted a successful shred event and food drive, offering residents a convenient way to protect their personal information while supporting neighbors in need.
The event, held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, saw community members bring a total of 1.5 tons of documents for secure, on-site shredding. In addition, attendees generously donated 244 pounds of nonperishable food to benefit the Chester County Food Bank.
“We wanted to create an event that not only helps our members protect their personal information but also gives them a chance to support others in the community,” said Sheirlene Kemp, branch manager at TruMark Financial’s Malvern location. “It’s important to us to be more than just a financial institution, we’re here to make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors.”
The Chester County Food Bank, established in 2009, was created to address the growing issue of hunger in the county, with the mission of serving as a sustainable organization dedicated to securing, managing, and distributing food to those in need.
