Karen Sweeney has been named senior vice president, Chief Human Resources officer at TruMark Financial® Credit Union. Sweeney, a resident of Titusville, New Jersey, brings over 25 years’ experience in the financial industry, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources, Amboy Bank, Old Bridge, NJ.

In her previous employment Sweeney was responsible for aligning culture, values, and behaviors with the strategic direction and goals of the organization. Prior to her career at Amboy Bank, she served as executive vice president of Bank of America where she led a network of 550 retail branches and 5,000 employees.

“Her strategic leadership experience in organization development and learning, human relations skills, and her commitment to industry-leading human resource practices makes her a good fit for the credit union,” said Richard F. Stipa, TruMark Financial’s chief executive officer.

Sweeney’s extensive educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Organization Development and Leadership, from St. Joseph University’s University and a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law.
