TruMark Financial Annual Events
TruMark Financial hosts a golf outing, Kiss A Pig Financial Literacy Fundraiser, and Financial Jeopardy Competition to support Building Financial Futures. Since the inception of the initiative, grants of more than $450,000 have been awarded to local schools in need of personal finance materials.
Funds raised provide local schools with grants to purchase resources such as textbooks, computer software programs, and math manipulatives to teach the fundamentals of saving, borrowing, and investing.
This fundraiser brings together educators, community and business leaders, and credit union employees to raise money for the privilege of kissing a pig. Funds raised at this event allow area schools to provide students with the tools needed to learn the basics of personal finance.
The Financial Jeopardy competition tests students’ personal finance knowledge in categories such as banking, credit, taxes, budgeting, and investments. At the end of the competition, TruMark Financial awards three scholarships to the students who fared best in the Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy, and Final Jeopardy rounds of the competition.
